Tobochares er en slekt av biller som hører til familien vannkjær (Hydrophilidae).
Utseende
[rediger | rediger kilde]Små (1,5-2,6 millimeter), avlangt ovale og litt flate, gulbrune til mørkbrune vannkjær.
Levevis
[rediger | rediger kilde]Artene finnes helst i vannsig og grunne bekker, på steiner som akkurat blir overstømmet av vannet, men én art er også funnet på råtnende frukter på land.
Utbredelse
[rediger | rediger kilde]Slekten er hovedsakelig utbredt i det norøstlige Sør-Amerika (Guyanaskjoldet), men forekommer så langt sør som Goías i Brasil.
