Maltas grunnlov

Den nåværende Maltas grunnlov ble vedtatt som en rettslig ordre den 21. september 1964 og er den selverklærte øverste loven i landet. Derfor er en hvilken som helst lov eller handling som er i strid med Grunnloven ugyldig. Ved å være en rigid grunnlov, har det en tre-lags skanse basis for at eventuelle endringer skal skje.
