Anton Sebastianpillai (født 1944 eller 1945 på Ceylon, død 4. april 2020 i London) var en britisk historiker, forfatter (som Anton Sebastian) og lege (geriatri) av tamilsk ceylonesisk opprinnelse.[6]
Biografi
[rediger | rediger kilde]Han ble utdannet ved Peradeniya Medical School i Sri Lanka med eksamen i 1967.[7]
Under navnet Anton Sebastian skrev han en rekke medisinske referanseverker:

Han var bibliofil, og hadde foruten sjeldne bøker fra hjemlandet Sri Lanka også sjeldne bøker relevant for medisinens historie.[12][8]
Han døde 4. april 2020 på Kingston Hospital i London etter å ha blitt smittet der av covid-19 mens han arbeidet der.[7][14] Han fikk intensivbehandlig siden 31. mars[6], og var 75 år gammel da han døde.[15]
